Is he still signing on?

Both standing here believe it or not

your man must be a gangly freak, Eddie is a sound skin,he helped me out with a matter in Manchester Airport 10 years ago after a game

He’s tall alright. 6ft 5 I’d say. A fine player himself he was a centre believe it or not.

100% correct on eddie. He is a decent skin

How does rugby subbuteo work? Do you keep smashing the players together until one of their heads falls off?

He said on OTB one night that he had asked around the IRFU top brass if there was any issue with him and he was assured there wasn’t. Also said tonight he didn’t apply for the Connacht gig this time round.

Saw that. Funny shit.

Eddie, rightly or wrongly, is widely perceived in Connacht to be a slimy, sly prick, who knifed gatland, a Connacht man, in the back and stole his job.

Huh? Gatland is from New Zealand.

That’s very “Oirish” when it comes to rugby football.

Was it not that he refused to negotiate a settlement from his Ireland contract and demanded full payment? It’s the story I heard.

May well have been. Hadn’t heard that. He was bitter enough at the time to have done it anyway

Woulda been a foolish play. After France 07 he should have known he was for the high jump.

When New Zealand people move to Connacht they become nation-less, ex New Zealanders they are known as.

He was/is a fair stubborn mule

That’ll be the Cork in him. Coupled with spending a few years working alongside George Hook, Warren Gatland and Declan Kidney.

I’d say he doesn’t speak with any of those lads now. Himself and Hook despise each other.

And?
Since when did that ever bother rugby/soccer etc?

The Flynn fellow who died over the weekend who was at the centre of the Fr Niall Molloy case had been a captain of the Connacht rugby team. There was a rugby ball at the funeral.
