The River Shannon?
Excluding football?
Despite the dog track the stadium looks OK, certainly better than that kip in Salthill the GGA built.
Terryland is a nice ground and seems perfectly adequate at present. It’s walkable from town, and there doesn’t seem to be a pressure for increased capacity at present. Any local sporting club who needs use on occasion of increased capacity should have access. Sport is sport.
The GAA ground should be East of the river imho. Its crazy that the gaa heartlands are east of the river, the bulk of the support comes from there, all travelling teams and supporters come from there, yet are dragged to a poorly accessible, poorly designed ground with as much atmosphere as the UCD campus and neither parking facility nor public transport.
I’m confident that if a sensible plan was devised, the McDonaghs would support it heavily. It ideally would be within walking distance of town, but I do struggle to think of anywhere suitable.

Connacht soiled their pants there tonight.
As a Leinster man living in Connaught, that’s a sweet one, although I wasn’t interested enough to actually be watching it.
The Muldoon humiliation is finally avenged.
