Coleman playing as sweeper, Meade around the middle and I guess Cashman back at half-back. Could be a hammering.
Thats actually a very good squad on paper. Significant also for the fact they got Pa Callaghan back.
I would be quitely confident.
Have Cork a chance tonight?
The fact that Turenne said only 5 would inducate its probably a tight call. Like all u21 its hard to get a real gauge till they start. This Cork team is nothing like the Minor team that played 3 years ago, so its hard to judge on that. Last years Minors were very good and last years 21âs were poor.
I would say based on general confidence within the counties (huge favtor IMO) and the fact that Cork still have highly questionable Management selections i would say Limerick with a 55/45 tilt. But a Cork win would not be that huge a shock.
Itâs 21s, anything can happen.
Not really. Generally the best teams who are well prepared win.
Limerick with a far stronger team overall, but Callaghan by all accounts is the best club hurler in cork (I havenât seen him play) and Kingston is class. Theyâre playing lined up against possibly our weakest line. There is the potential for those two to go to town and swing the game.
Not at all. Overall i would say Cork are better balanced ability wise. Now if they have been able to find a nice mix between the 3 groups they have plucked them from is the question. Oh and if they have instilled a savage work rate. If that happens i think you will get a huge surprise. Big if though going on recent Cork performances.
Limerick are in a better place mentally and arguably more settled with a nice chunk of last years side, but ability wise, this Cork side has huge potential. That means fuck all though. Talent and potential are words that should be banned from tge sporting landscape, especially in Cork.

Remains to be seen if Kingston has fully recovered from his injuries. Pa OâCallaghan is a typical cork forward, all touch, no work rate.

Did he not shine for Douglas in championship already?
Have not seen Callaghan in years at IC so yard to remember to be honest.

I thought they were very poor. Some good hurlers but a heap of shite wides in the second half and didnât look like a bunch that had done much together
Getting hammered at home, they must have been shocking to fuck. Any senior prospects?
Kingston certainly but how he would fare out now in a poor team I donât know. Id leave him alone. O Callaghan certainly but needs to get much fitter id say. Coleman at CB looked a fine hurler.
TBH hard to say about many more, the lack of organisation was most disappointing and might have made some individuals look worse than they are.

How did Browne and Twomey do?
Well i know someone who refused a role on that management team because they felt their ideas were way off.
