Cillian O’Donovan at 7 was very good for Douglas. Only 20… surprised he wasn’t good enough for the the Cork u20s. Hoggie got a few nice points but no major influence… Downey was missing all night bar a lovely low through ball for the Glen goal. The Glen full back line did a fairly decent job on A Cadogan and Turnbull but they were at nothing in the middle third and lost most of the battles in there. Alan Cadogan is desperately out of form.

NaP in a bit of a bother you’d imagine. Going by the teamsheet, Glen should still be decent and have plenty of young good hurlers.

Saw Blackrock/Erins Own, would expect both teams to end up in the semis if it were the old system. Blackrock need to speed up their use of the ball and give Cotter the right kind of ball, he is unmarkable with the ball in hand imo. Connolly would want a kick up the hole, didn’t seem overly bothered about winning any 50/50 ball. Erins Own will have a chance against every team out there with O’Flynn and Eoghan Murphy in the forwards.

4 team groups instead of playoffs. Rockies, Erins Own and the Barrs are all in one group, so that’s one of the stronger teams gone straight away.

The LPYMA @Thomas_Brady, it was granted to Shelbourne under squatters rights. The council have purchased it. Shelbourne will get a new pitch and Astro pitch out of the deal.
