I donât think county boards really can âgo out of businessâ. It would set an interesting precedent alright though. Maybe they could sell off all the assets and relocate Cork GAA to somewhere like Cavan and rebrand them as the Border Rebels.

Not sure what Martin is bleating on about. Iâd be very worried this could be used as a stick to get the Govt to clear the PUIC debt.

Surely wouldnât hurt an enterprising local politician to suggest the state buys Pairc Ui Rinn as a municipal venue and solves the Cork Co Boardâs financial in de wan stroke

I was talking to someone who works in the Sports Sponsorship Industry and who may or may not have played a role in this Supervalu Park deal being struck and he says Cork have been totally and utterly mugged off here.
1 million over 3 years is effectively peanuts for a stadium of that size.
