Little All Ireland the bare faced arrogance, tippy tappy hurling and they donā€™t even contemplate how the likes of Limerick have won more All Irelands in the last 4 years as they have done in 30 years

Now its in my head

The little all Ireland?

Closest any cark man will get close to winning any all ireland these days. That or being fitzgibbon and apparently being on the right side of the border. Nash, bless him is also trying his level best.

Fragile carkness at its best

Harks back to a different time when the Cork hurling championship was hotly contested and drew massive crowds to the big games, an anachronism if you will, not something youā€™d hear used today except in an ironic way

When was the last time it was a big deal?

Noel Skehan must have given you a serious pat on the head kid your lifting now :joy:

Clearly a big enough deal that 3 or 4 Limerick men are hopping up and down about it on a Sunday nightā€¦ The little all ireland is box office

A first Little All Ireland pairing of Barrs v Rockies since 1982 Iā€™m reading this morning.

The Limerick contributors here are in the main a very insecure lot.

82 is a long time.

Ah they are looking at traditions going all the way back to June 2018 anything else is irrelevant

The end game for @Bod95 here Iā€™d suspect is to have the Limerick Senior Hurling Final now named as the new ā€˜The Little All Irelandā€™. Traditions as you said built up over a period of 4 years since the summer of 2018.

Itā€™s always been a big deal, senior county championships are not to be sniffed at, the crowds arenā€™t what they were but I suppose thatā€™s replicated everywhere due to competing ways to spend a Sunday afternoon.
The little all Ireland thing isnā€™t used anymore I assume, but a county final between two big city clubs will catch the imagination

I meant big deal as in it being called the little all ireland, when did that stop?

Are you a rockies man? Would that not be controversial in Mahon? Ballinure would be the club mahon lads play with would it?

Who do the Barrs have?

Cahalane x3
Brian Hayes
Ben Cunningham
Billy Hennessy
Ben Oā€™Connor
Ethan Twomey

On paper, they look very strong.

Tis a long time since they won one is it? Good for Cork hurling to have the traditional power houses back in business

I think they were saying they havenā€™t even been in a final since 93.

Most of those players are physically big men too, a lot of athleticism as well as hurling. Should be a decent final, youā€™d think. Blackrock obviously have the two dangermen inside in Connolly & Cotter.
