Blackrock at 14/1 is best value. They are making serious progress. They’ll win one in next 2 years I think. They also have Eddie Murphy with them who has a great first year record with several clubs

I’ve seen that Blackrock group - or the majority of it - from U-16 to U-21, they won’t win anything, real lack of talent and pace throughout their team. Can’t see any of that group even representing Cork at senior level bar maybe an odd league game here and there.

Perfect, more time together as a team. Having county players can be a draw back, or certainly having too many.

They are the most dominant club in Cork underage in recent years and literally waltzed to a couple of minors and 21 counties. Your lack of talent comment is bizarre considering results.

It isn’t, they were a big strong group of consistent hurlers that nonetheless were short any real top class hurlers that looked like future senior hurlers. Badly short in terms of inside forwards as well imo. Wait and see, they won’t win shit.

In contrast, Douglas have Cadogan and Kingston, two lads that could really hurt Sars. Na Piarsaigh will have Lee, Sheehan and Gunning down the line. Blackrock don’t have forwards of this calibre and class.

The Cork Senior Footballers will open their 2015 season on Sunday against Mary Immaculate College, (MIC) Limerick, at Mallow.

McGrath Cup (Preliminary Round): Cork v MIC Limerick.

Sunday, 4th. January 2015, at Mallow 2.00 p.m.

Referee: TBC. Extra time if necessary.

Quarter Final: W/e 11th January - Winners Cork / MIC v Tipperary.

As always, we’ll have live updates from the game here on the website and on our Twitter page, @OfficialCorkGAA.

Michael Cussen returns to inter county football and is named at midfield while John O’Rourke (pictured) leads the Cork attack. For this competition CIT and UCC players are tied to their respective academies and therefore not eligible for Cork team selection.

Management: Brian Cuthbert (Bishopstown) Manager; Owen Sexton (Kilbrittain); Ciarán O’Sullivan (Urhan); Don Davis (O’Donovan Rossa).

Athbhliain faoi mhaise daoibh!

Wheres paddy Kelly at

Naming subs 1-9, dreadful carryon, you’d miss Tracy already.

Cussen!

WWe’ll take him

Resting I assume, played till November.

Cussen is a mental one, he has hardly even played for Glanmire recently. However he deserves his chance like anyone else, he was poorly treated and utilized in the past.

The stories I have heard about Cutbert this Christmas are astonishing. Unless there is remarkable change by himself (extremely unlikely) Cork may well be relegated and lose 2 games pretty early in championship. The loss of Sheehan, Walsh and Cahalane within 12 months is robbing Cork of their premier quality players
The fact that he hasn’t replaced the coach is worrying. The biggest problem most people seem to have with him is he is a control freak, if he takes on the coaching as well it will be carnage. The coach and S&C coach to leave doesn’t look good no matter what spin they put on it.

At least county championship performers are getting a good go.

Franks development squads are working

Who needs anything more than two pitches:clap:

Cunts probably want mirrors in the dressing rooms as well down there.
