What would you know of scarra?
Grand people, for Cork people.
Hmmm
Have you never heard of Kilmichael or something?
The right half back from Inniscarra is actually a Ballinora man, well he spent most of his underage there anyway. Better footballer IMO.
Kilmicheal is the only junior club there.

Was surprised to see him called up over Christmas, definitely rated much better as a footballer.
Few lads listed there that have zero chance of making inter-county.

He is only 18 as far as I know still.
Very talented though.
Dual players making hurling the choice all the time now. He has the craft to be a very good No. 11 in football, how far he could go is hard to know now.
McGrath Cup (1st half,35 min) Cork 3-10 MIC 0-1
Do MIC even play Sigerson? Are they not Trench?
Farce of a game.

The lower end of Trench. Farce of a “competition” full stop.
Ah it’s not really, the warm up games are important, but you should be at least Div 1.

I have of course, Kev. Just not a usual producer of Cork hurlers is all. Good to see all the same.
Oh right, fair enough.
Ya great to see, they beat our crowd in the Junior semi final last year. 6 years ago our 2nd team beat them by about 30 points. Serious progress. Several football only clubs have now got serious about hurling.
The only thing is it might well lead to Cork becoming a 2nd tier football county.
Cuthbert has already dragged us back down there Kev.

The one thing about the majority of clubs in West Cork that has to be commended is their facilities. Whether they are dual clubs or not, it still pays to have the setup to keep kids interested.
Ya very good alright.
But once you start splitting the time spent on football you will lose potential county players all over the place. There is a lot to be said for having the passion and commitment to one sport.
Kilmichael isn’t in west cork
Mid West, Mid, Mid North.
