Shane O’Neill back training tonight. In advance of the Cork v Clare game next Saturday Cork Hurling Manager Jimmy Barry Murphy is delighted Shane O’Neill is fit again - “his injury has cleared up - he got the all clear and will be back training with the squad tonight.”

Great news for Shane O Donnell

Why mate, Brian Murphy isn’t injured.

O Neill owes him a fiver.

Just break a hurley off him like Wexford did to Horgan

Clare have come in to 8/1 to win the AI
Cork are 14/1

Timber won’t work on O’Donnell. He is like a rubberball

I heard off a Clare lad who marked him in a club game before that he’s soft as shit but that doesn’t seem to be the case in intercounty anyway

Do you think it’s possible that your Clare ‘lad’ was talking utter shite?

O’Donnell has become quite strong despite his wirey frame. I think it was Paddy Stapleton he body slammed to the ground during the league after Stapleton continued grappling him after a ball was cleared. O’Donnell is far from soft

He is tough as an old boot and starting to bully full backs. Soft is not a word I would ever associate with him.

According to the Clare lads on here;

All Clare Forwards = Not soft/windy
All Limerick Forwards = Soft/windy
All Kilkenny Forwards = Like their Clare boys
Most other Inter County Forwards = Softish/Windyish

I wonder will he make Cork train at ridiculous times so he can make the SG like he did at the Glen.

This is a guy who thinks the captinacy should go back to the clubs. He has zero pedigree as a coach or manager.

Has he managed anyone else apart from The Glen? And how did he actually get on with The Glen?

Could be imagining it but was he with the Cork U21’s as a selector a few years back?

Bit sneaky to come out with this the week of a big championship game, disrespectful to JBM but he is clearly making his pitch for the job early.

I reckon he’d be a disaster if he got it. Talks a good game but it’s one thing spouting drivel to Des Cahill…

Will cork beat clare

cork only have 3 players any good

Let’s put it this way, the Glen would probably lose representation rather than gain it.
He was involved in arguably the biggest shock in years the other night as the Glen beat an Uber talented Douglas in 21 championship. He is a selector, maybe he’s cock a hoop now about that.

But it’s mad how unaware some lads are of whats involved and what’s needed. I wouldn’t really have an issue with him not winning anything with the Glen, it’s never all about that and the Glen are not that particularly talented. But from what is said about his time there would be very similar to what’s said about JBM, Crowley, Kenneally, Ger Fitz et Al. Living in 1990 still.

Was in cork today not much hype why ye will win

Very worrying news coming from the CB about who is lined up to replace JBM. Absolutely mind boggling.
