Cork GAA Thread 2015

Aidan Walsh and Damien Cahalane sticking with the hurlers for 2016. A vote of confidence for Kingston, I suppose.

Good news for KK.

Ya decisions made by management selections really, at least in DC’s case. No real surprise

@caoimhaoin looking like a gobshite here trying to slur a decent man’s character

Is Matthews gone?

Father Matthews?

Runner Mattews

He is the reason for the whole fall out.

CB made a huge mistake there, paid out massive cash and now want to blame S& C for every Cork teams failure last year or before. They are covering themselves (in their own heads). So they get the physio in to do S&C instead. You could not make it up.

Although word is people are not taking it lying down. Alot of high level meetings taking place this week. County managers and ex players and clubs in together with minimal CB reps.

I even saw a few tweets from GDA’s and such people that were clearly frustrated but defiant statements about change etc.

The signs for Cork are avtually very positive. The development squads are very well manned, they are also practical and making progress. Another significant thing i believe is the mobilization of the bigger populations. Towns like Bandon, Fermoy, Mayfield, Kanturk etc are moving up the grades. The big clubs in the city are motoring agai . The Glen won the county and their is serious movement in the Barrs and the Rockies are winning all around them. Douglas are starting to split hurling and football which will have long term benefits.
The colleges are as well represented as they ever were. Open to correction but aomeone recently told me the Cork representation in this years Harty is the biggest ever. The teams in Colleges football look dominant.

So its actually not that far away. Just need a bit of deadwood to move on.

Fixed that there for you.
We know what you mean

Its actually not that cut and dry. He has a well established support network.

New?

Ffs.

Gone. He is working with Athletics Ireland now.

Players not happy but they will get used to it.

Cian Mc back

Good for him. Great lad.

Not an IC hurler though.

And thats nonsense. Some players said they would not continue of he stayed, even w/JBM.

There is very little change there and at least 10 of those players are tried & tried again and are not up to it.

The fact that Leahy is called up shows its not just an over 21 squad so it just makes no sense.

More of the same from Cork i foresee.

Careful what they wish for. Ones I know are not happy

The physio

Will see next year if JBM over achieved with them. KK won’t have any goodwill to fall back on if results are bad

We won’t see that. The set up is even more fucked up. At least JBM wanted the lads that were there.

Players are not happy with no S&C and that ohysio is doing it. Not that DM is gone. Or at least what i’m getting from my end.
