Cork looking to lay down a physical marker

Massive physicality the one trait youd always associate with this cork team alright :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Aidan Walsh to stand on top of Casey on the edge of the square? The one thing that Limerick fb line lack is height. Walsh can expose this

Casey is cute enough to get by

He’s not tall but he did okay on Glynn. He’s more likely to struggle on Horgan though.

Mike is a fabulous defender and like his brother at the far end of field has great instinct. He is vulnerable to pace .

Should have started TOM at half-forward or even half-back. Dropping him completely is an odd decision and suggests they only rate him as 6 or nothing. Starting Downey is a huge risk in a must win game. They mustn’t rate Browne, gone from the matchday panel. Apparently Ellis only started training in March as he was travelling. If they dropped Kingston without injury before dropping Lehane after last week then that is another bizarre decision. Lehane gets away with constantly mediocre performances where he looks good for five minutes and is anonymous for the rest of the game.

Dropped- end of- idiot

Ah shtap

The league told us that in fairness. Hard to see he would have any chance of minding Hayes based on last weeks performance. Wouldn’t be a huge surprise if he was back in for later games.

Ellis is a risky call as well but no great option there really. At this stage we need a player to sit in the 6 position for the day and forget anything else, be it Ellis or Cooper dropping back there. We were getting pulled all over the place last week

There is no way TOM is better than any of the 6 forwards that you have started, or than a few on the bench.

He is almost certainly a half-back. I know Kyle is a different type of challenge at centre-forward to Bubbles, maybe one that he’d cope better with but he had a complete nightmare last week, surely it would have been more of a risk for Meyler to leave him in there?

To be honest, people did see this coming, he probably should have been at wing-back in the first place to ease him into Championship hurling where there’s less responsibility on trying to hold the entire defence together.
