Not the way Waterford play with TDB CB. Aussie would be outnumbered 3-1 most of the time. Bennet and Hutchinson both played far away from the Limerick goal too. There wasnt much different from way Queally set up Waterford today and Cahill and Bevans when they were managing Waterford. Set up to not concede goals and keep the score down.

Limerick were winning that game by 4-8 tonight even if Lyons was playing, it’s against Tipp where Waterford feel his loss the most.

Waterford showed enough to suggest that should still qualify. Clare look holed beneath the waterline and, pound for pound, Waterford are superior to Tipperary in most areas of the field. A win there should see them in.

Impossible to overstate how bad their direct replacements were. If Waterford had 7 out of 10 performers in those positions everything was on the table. They’d certainly fancy getting that 3rd place in Munster.
Ozzie hasn’t bought into the 21st century version of what it means to be a top inter county hurler, which is unfortunate for him, but maybe he has a proper life

100%. We’ve a load of piano shifters these days and not very many piano players. Bubbles was the Ludwig van Beethoven in that regard. Probably the best wrists I’ve ever seen and certainly one of the most skillful. If you were a connoisseur of the game these things should be obvious though and wouldnt need to be pointed out.
