A decent performance but lot’s to work on. Waterford were so so… tried a lot but a mixture of not having the fire power and a bit of fatigue done em.
Cian Lynch was immense and Gillane + SOB look like they’re about to unleash soon.
We were still a bit exposed at times once it went in over Kyle… thought Waterford butchered a couple of decent goal scoring chances second half.
But it was a notch up from last day and the shape was better. I thought Lyons was acting the bollox second half with some of those frees… the Cork cunt.

Jesus, a few not all but a sizeable proportion of the Tippos have had a major meltdown here this evening. They’l have to wait amother few weeks now for the chance to see somebody land the fundamentaly useless Limericks on their arses

Castlemartyr nearly done me. Lost 20 mins there with traffic… and i pretty much held a piss from there to the ground… i arrived at 5.45 and was just about to enter the west terrace (aching for a piss) when a young Waterford couple approached me to swap my west for an east as they had one of each… how could i split the love birds up… i took the east and waddled down the road… easily the best piss of my life bar none.

Sean Finns best game since his return from ACL injury.
We will be tested to the max against Corks inside forward line - but having Hayes and Nash in the half backline will make a huge difference.
And we have the firepower to score heavy against their defence.
I’d like to see Bull and Gillane get more high ball in the square - they have the aerial ability to get goals.

That was a HT report, you can give extra frees to the opposition but as long as you allow throwing your facilitating LK. To be fair to the ref many of the frees were against those Limerick gang tackles, although it’s to be admired but it’s not hurling. The Bennett free was 100% wrong but swings & roundabouts.
WOD made his usual attempt to decapitate one of the Waterford players in front of the stand which the uneducated Limericks moaned about.
Byrnes should have got two yellows was the only big decision in the game which he bottled.
I spent the game surrounded by limericks and you’d swear it was Sean Cleere or Johny Murphy level riding he gave them when in reality he gave a couple extra (not an extraordinary amount) of frees to the home team.
It’s as if they feel the need for constant justification.

Cian Lynch was off balance at one stage while reaching for a ball which he got his hand on and a Waterford player ran in to him and was given a free.
Multiple times Waterford got frees for slight touches but on the flip side, you can assault a Limerick and it’s play away. … but lookit, these double standards have been going on a years now.

More Tipp lads are posting on a Limerick win than turned up the last two times their county played Championship in the Gaelic Grounds. I had forgotten how bad the hurt is
