You’re the most one eyed poster on here. You rave about throwing and cheer when Tipp do it. You go on and on about cian lynch throwing when any time he’s ever been blown for it it’s been subsequently shown on camera to be a good hand pass. Your issue is not throws, it’s Tipp being left behind.
I’m told it’s actually really sore
Tipps second goal v Limerick was RIP Hurling stuff, horrendous. We have to adapt to compete.
These things go in swings & roundabouts, who’d have thought cork would go two decades without winning one. It’s not a certainty but it’s likely we will be back.
The drive from Dungarvan to Youghal in the sun is a lovely spin. I’ve only been to Ardmore on a day trip…i must check out more of West Waterford… that coast line looks as good as anywhere on the island. It helped when RTE1 were banging out Sade
Humerus
On the referee I thought Lyons was generally consistent with the refereeing in this years Munster championship. A lot is let go. Some of my countrymen thought that the “ the referee gave us no protection” but that is not the referees job. If we have to line out with a physically inferior team you can’t rely on the referee to level up the physical stakes. Equally though a lot of the Limerick crowd around me spent the game roaring at the referee but a physically bigger team using that physicality will almost inevitably give away more frees.
In general I thought Lyons was fine. Certainly not the winning or losing of the game.
Best thing that could happen to Limerick is the perception they are being reffed too harshly. A win over Cork is going to require a lot of clever fouling.
I’ve driven the copper coast a few times, bunmahon, annestown and other tiny villages and it’s spectacular. Didn’t travel for the game last night but will be back in circulation for the cork game which I think will be the first of three limerick/cork games this summer.
I hope the refs pick up on Cork’s tactical fouling and throwing for the next day but I doubt we’ll get too many favours
Christ. It is hilarious how much Tipp lads cant come to terms with Limerick the last few years.
They’re all agin us so dey are… the refs, the media, the tipp fans.
On the physically inferior thing, have you any inside nous on why Waterford would go with Curran ahead of Kiely yesterday? Curran a fine tidy hurler but was never likely to give Waterford a physical presence in the half forward line.
Not really. Kiely had been injured and before that was hurling as a back in the league and Curran had been ok by his own standards in the league (I thought Leen hosed him in the Clare game). But Curran would never be able to make an impact as a starter against a team like Limerick. Of the starting front 8 only Bennett could compete physically. You wouldn’t win a game against Limerick with that kind of deficit without a miraculous game plan, which we didn’t have.
Limurick are BACK
Couldnt agree more, I was expecting a few changes to the named Waterford team and was surprised when there wasn’t.
If Aussie shared his carvery with the other forwards they’d be well able to compete physically
That’s basically what I said in less eloquent words
I take this back I’m on my third shite of the day.
Anyone have a clip of the Bulls goal chance yesterday that thumped the post? Couldn’t make it out from the other terrace.
