Excellent team, great in the air and plenty of dog.
What an ambush in Castletownroche.
Audacious goal there by the much maligned Alan Connolly for the Rockies. Just switched it on as he lobbed the keeper.
Sars beaten by Charleville
Cracking goal by Mullins to level it. Is there much jeopardy in this Blackrock v Glen game?
Tómas Mul coaching on the sideline.
Poor from the Glen to lose that
Big win by Charleville but the ref allowed them away with murder
Do you think?
Glen will have to beat Kanturk to stay in it
That’s as well as they have played at this level. They are huge
That is going to be a cracker. In Castletownroche. Huge chance for Kanturk.
Yep big chance. Great venue they have hurled well there before
Kilworth also a super spot for big game. Huge crowd they had everyone moving within 5 mins of end of game. Massive new club house too
Coleman is just gifted.
Not that it would have made a difference, but you’d question the lad on the post shifting his bodyweight to the right there.
Johhny Crowley will surely blame the pitch for Sars performance. They were appaling. Looked to be playing with 3 forwards. Charleville full value for their win.
Serious win for them. Had heard they were flying in training alright
Was pitch ok? Castletownroche normally immaculate
We’ll batter them in 2 weeks in Mallow
You’d wonder if their trajectory is now on a downward curve and will be passed out by the rising tides in Galway and Tipperary as the next contenders to challenge Limerick.
They have had no bounce from the Ben o Connor appointment, the younger crew from the 20s teams of 20-23 are established but many of them look a little short of the mark imo (Twomey, Mullins, Connolly, Cunningham, Power, Daire O’Leary, Roche, Cormac O Brien).
The mental scars accumulated over the years from the likes of Collins, Coleman, Fitzgibbon, SOD, Downey, O Leary, TOM is off the charts going back to the u20 final they lost to Tipp.
The management setup looks a step behind the elite setups of other counties also, both from an experience and tactical level. After the Galway debacle, there’s no way the senior leadership (not that they have much) will have faith in management. They’ve watched the ship fall further behind limerick this season playing a more conservative style - and effectively retiring the likes of Harnedy and Dalton.
I think if the cork county board review all of the media interactions Ben had post games this year they’d realise quickly enough he’s not the right man to lead this ship. Sarcasm and narkyness with journalists does not cut it for an elite leader.
It’s a window into the setup to see him biting back to journalists who are doing their job.
Oh it was but City teams dont like coming out the country.
Word of appreciation for the Kilworth gaa facilities. Absolutely top class. Pitch was a bit burnt but to be expected. A fine stand, great bank for viewing on the opposite side shaded in trees. Brand new (massive!) clubhouse and dressing room complex. Fine ball wall, astro pitch, second full size pitch.
Also 2 x soccer pitches and tennis and pitch and putt within the complex.
They had 50 stewards at least on the go, parking cars in a farmers field across the road must have been 7 or 800 cars in there. Was in the car and out of Kilworth in less than 10 mins seriously well organised.
