4 x all stars for a man that has never won an all ireland is fair going. Half the all stars are given to winning the team. A beautiful striker of the ball. Almost impossible to hook because he kept the strike so close to his body. I’d say he will hurl away with the club for a good few years. Seems to be a lad that just loves playing

He had magic in him and shur that’s all that he should be remembered for. He got some cracking scores over the years
I personally wouldn’t have him in any top 10 this century but those things are all subjective.

The best hurler overall never to win an All Ireland and one of the best of his generation in his own right.
The lads who see hurling as a game of X’s and O’s wont get it, but the free he nonchalantly scored from 80 yards in the dying minutes of Extra Time in the 2024 All Ireland Final to bring Cork back to one down from two, was probably the best dead ball ever hit in Croke Park.
Always turned up and delivered for Glen Rovers too.

Jimmy Barry Murphy is the bigger legend, but Horgan is/was the better hurler and by some distance.
