Cork v Clare MSHC Semi Final 2014

I agree. I also think Cork have to win this game. Otherwise they run the significant risk of another dead year with nothing to show

Clare lads playing possum

You are being very unkind to possums there, kid.

There’s a good chance of Clare being flat and disjointed on Sunday. That’s how we’ve looked in the opening games for the past two years , and with Cork having two games played already it could well be a big factor.

A brief history of Clare Hurling 1884-1995/2000-2012.

Clare lads getting their excuses in early. Positioning themselves nicely for a Sunday evening “we knew they were going really well but Davy told us not to tell ye”

The Cork Senior Hurling team to play Clare in the Munster Semi-Final on Sunday in Thurles will line out as follows

  1. Anthony Nash (Kanturk)
  2. Shane O’Neill (Bishopstown)
  3. Damien Cahalane (St Finbarr’s)
  4. Stephen McDonnell (Glen Rovers)
  5. Christopher Joyce (Na Piarsaigh)
  6. Mark Ellis (Millstreet)
  7. Lorcan McLoughlin (Kanturk)
  8. Daniel Kearney (Sarsfields)
  9. Aidan Walsh (Kanturk)
  10. Conor Lehane (Midleton)

  12. Seamus Harnedy (St. Ita’s)
  13. Alan Cadogan (Douglas)
  14. Patrick Cronin (Bishopstown - Captain)
  15. Patrick Horgan (Glen Rovers)

Jimmy Barry-Murphy and his selectors have kept faith with the team that started the replay against Waterford last Sunday, making no changes ahead of the Clare game.

Injury update: Luke O’Farrell has returned to training following surgery on a shoulder injury earlier this year.

Subs
16. Darren McCarthy (Ballymartle)
17. Conor O’Sullivan (Sarsfields)
18. Killian Burke (Midleton)
19. Willian Egan (Kilbrin)
20. Eoin Cadogan (Douglas)
21. Brian Lawton (Castlemartyr)
22. Jamie Coughlan (Newtownshandrum)
23. Stephen Moylan (Douglas)
24. Cian McCarthy (Sarsfields)
25. Rob O’Shea (Carrigaline)
26. Paudie O’Sullivan (Cloyne)

There serious strength in depth in that bench.

Oohh we didn’t realise we could be this good in June, wait till the ground is harder in August, we’ll be unstoppable.

Or

We are always undercooked in June, we’re a top of the ground team, no point in peaking till August/September, sure munster means fuck all like we’ve won 6 of them in 125 years.

Sickening cunts.

calm down MI, you’ll get at least one more day from the Windies draw permitting

I support England and Wales in cricket m8.

It’s gas listening to the Clare crowd getting their excuses in early and saying this Sunday doesn’t matter. They must be happy enough to dine out on their one off backdoor all ireland.

Haters gonna hate

We hope there are more All-Irelands in this team but we can handle the fact that one may not arrive this year. As a group they delivered ahead of schedule in 2013 and most would not be inclined to see them as the finished article yet.

In general terms I think we’ve plenty to be happy about. We’ve managed to reach the final just 4 times over the past 20 years, but we’ve won 3 of those finals. Compared to say Galway (none from 3), or Limerick (none from 3), or even with Tipp (2 from 5) and Cork (3 from 6) we’ve done alright. We’ve had our fair share to celebrate, if you can’t appreciate the good times then what’s the point.

Things are good, we’re enjoying it. That’s all there is to it really.

If only you were enjoying it, when you have to compare yourself to others like that it betrays a deep and basic insecurity, one which is quite evident in quite a lot of the Clare lads posts on here
I think you will beat Cork but have a funny feeling Cork are more likely to make an All Ireland Final this year than Clare

Just perspective.

Be happy in your own skin
