Can the actual capacity for PUC be confirmed anywhere? If it can take 40-45k, grand play the thing there, I would actually prefer to go to Cork than Thurles to be honest. If it is only 34k though then itâs a joke as this match should pull in an attendance in the high 40s.
Would disagree with all finals being played in Thurles regardless myself also - Gaelic Grounds and PUC, when refurbished, would both have adequate capacities for big games. Wouldnât make sense to have less games being played there.
Agree fully. Despite the improved road network in recent years the Gaelic Grounds continually gets overlooked for big senior games (bar last year). When Pairc Ui Chaoimh gets re-developed you can be damn sure it will get its quota of games. No ground in Munster should be guaranteed of the staging of all provincial finals.
Thurles has ruled the roost for ages, probably deservedly so in fairness, but there needs to be more equity in where games take place. Playing Clare v Antrim there last year in the u-21 was total madness.
calling back your post complimenting Kerry for not complaining about the 34k Munster football final capacity in PUC. Well they have to focus on beating Clare yet and to be honest 34k capacity is sufficient to accommodate every man woman and child from Kerry that will want to attend the munster football final.
Completely irrelevant to the Munster Hurling Final debate where a potential attendance of 45k is shaping up to scheduled for a 34k venue

you needed to go to the trouble of watching the Clare v Cork game again to come up with an analysis that Limerick the Munster Champions have a decent chance of winning a Munster Final ?!!
