If we can win in Ibrox, we can win in pairc ceaucescu.
Outright betting for Munster 1/3 Cork,2/1 Limerick.
Definitely. Our record in PUC in the last 20 years or so isnât actually too bad. Itâs an absolute kip at the moment though and 34,000 will not remotely meet the demand for this. I wouldnât be surprised to see that capacity drop further either in advance of the match.
The Limerick full back line will be destroyed. Wiped out. Raped.
After 34,000 tickets have been sold I expect.
Home venue will be decisive , Carkies are well animated this yearâŚ
Limerick co board should make an unmerciful hulabuloo about this. The game would sell out Thurles. They have a responsibility to do something for their supporters on this.
Although Frank might have a trick up his sleeve yet to get a few more than the 34k into PUC
Have we ever beaten both Tipp in Ibrox and Cork in Pairc Ui Chaoimh in the same championship campaign?
Off the top of my head weâve beaten them in Cork in '96 and 2001 (and lost to them there in the '92 final IIRC).
Cork at home, raging hot favourites, weâre coming in after a scratchy enough display against Tipp - suits our build up nicely. Cahalane and Walsh will have the Munster football final the week before too I think.
Waterford played a Munster Final in Fraher Field in 1929.
It was already set in stone in Limerick and Cork met, the final would be in Cork.
There have been more Leinster Finals and All Ireland Finals played in the county of Waterford than Munster Finals.

I presume there is a home and away arrangement and it is now Corks turn for the home match. I would imagine Limerick will be honourable enough to honour that.
Set in stone by whom, Frank Murphy and the Cork County Board?
Fraher Field presumably had the capacity to hold a Munster Hurling Final in 1929 it doesnât in 2014 and neither does Pairc Ui Chaoimh. 34,000 is not a capacity to cater for a Munster Hurling Final. Just checked it there and the official attendance listed for last years Munster Hurling Final was 42,730.
Set in stone by the home and away agreement between both counties that led to Cork travelling to the Gaelic Grounds last year.
Check the attendances for the last two Munster Finals held in Cork.
Would be better for Limerick to play in Cork anyway, when was the last time Limerick beat Cork in Thurles in the Championship, 1980?

i remember a drawn game in 87, was that in Lk or Thrulus, 3-11 each maybe?
Fenton whacked in that ground stroke then in the replay, 2 wet days
Word is none of dual players will play against Tipp. The replay caused them to miss 2 challenge games and training had been planned around them. They havenât really been with the footballers at all since the league and apparently management believe they should go with the regular lads.
Who will ref it? Surely wonât be James McGrath after getting the nod last year.
Hope itâs Brian Gavin to be honest. I donât want Johnny Ryan.
Gavin isnât up to IC reffing.
Surely this game will be moved. It will be the only game of the year in the hurling championship apart from the AI final that would draw a capacity attendance. The munster council will surely step in and make the decision.

I was at that replay in Thurles, wasnât a wet day. Think both games were in Thurles. Cork fans wrecked the scoreboard. Seem to remember a snooker ball being thrown at Cregan. Lads on the roof of the old stand. Cork had some right gurriers following them back then.
24,000 attended the Tipp/Limerick semi-final in Thurles, 34,000 capacity is plenty on that basis.
Cork will not be beaten in Pairc Ui Caoimh.

I would say that the bandwagon element that these teams would draw for a final would be 24000 alone especially with it being Corks 3rd game. Then there would be another 20000+ regular gaa people.
If Cork think this game is going to be a stroll then theyâll get a shock, there wonât be much in it either way.
