As Jackie Tyrrell said in his column the other day, I think today will come down to whether HOTY Austin Gleeson can raise his game to deliver a Lee Chin type display. If he reaches that level for the first time ever then I can see Waterford winning by 6 or 7. If he goes close then theyā€™ll win by 3 or 4.

De Burca and Barron are the key men for me and to a lesser extent Moran. When they hurl well Waterford do too.

De Burca MOTM @14/1 is the bet of the day

I took a spin down there the other evening, but windy but looked handsome none the less. Great beach for toddlers, loads to do

They must be running out of paper and ink in Kilkenny at this stageā€¦Larkin strikes me as a fella who doesnā€™t have a whole lot going on upstairs

He didnā€™t pass his leaving cert until in his 30s. Not one for book smarts Iā€™d say

I thought the ghost writer would surely have jumped in there somewhere

Iā€™d say Cork will bring a bigger crowd than expected today. 15K rebelsā€‹ or more.

35k as a crowd?

Thatā€™s about the upper limit maybe Mike. The Decie should bring 10 Iā€™m not sure about the neutral figure but with the fine day there there might be a good sprinkling of them. Theyā€™ll tell us later on the TV the official attendance, I estimate 30K.

The stands are sold out, only terrace tickets left

Plus a fine day. Iā€™d love to see the place packed solid

Well youā€™d imagine it should be a belter of a game

Whatā€™s this about a belter of a game? What great games has Derek McGrathā€™s Waterford been involved in?

Waterford will strangle the life out of us. Very effective and very boring.
