They live 200km away so highly unlikely I wouldn’t meet a checkpoint at some stage. Anyway I have been complying with the restrictions so not an issue. I’ll decide tomorrow when I see these gutless cunt’s plan on what any future compliance might look like.

If you want to visit your parents you can visit them. It’s that simple. You’d probably be foolish to do it but whatever rules Leo and Simon have in place isn’t going to change that.
Lads, I’m in favour of ending the lockdown but you badly need to fuck off with this “look at Sweden” thing.
The Swedish government told all the Swedes to stay home (ie. like in the Irish lockdown) and they did it. Parks in Sweden are more empty than in Ireland. The Swedes have sprayed all the city parks with chicken shit so noone will even go into them. There is no legal lockdown because they dont need one, the unofficial lockdown was enough, everyone is just staying at home for months because they were told to. They have more social distancing and more people staying home than we do.
Sweden has a lockdown and the public are keeping to it far better than the alcoholic recalcitrant Paddies, it’s just not a legal one because it doesnt need to be.

I will be very disappointed if these restrictions aren’t eased back after May 5th.
In that case we will need a regional phasedown. The progressive counties in Ireland that are keeping the virus at bay should be let back at it even if it means they have to carry the rest on their backs for a while. It won’t be easy but it’s the right thing to do
