Coronavirus - Here come the variants

Sure why wouldn’t he go? No job to lose. No bother isolating once he came back. 350 snots a week adds up when pubs are closed

It’ll be your Calvary

You can if you promise not to share your easter egg

Case numbers static. I called this a long time ago. Hospitalisions were at 1931 this day two months ago. Now 359. ICUs were 219 then 81 now. Different disease now.

If it’s as rampant on Mainland Europe I’d assume it’s only a matter of time before shit hits the fan again over here. ( hope I’m fucking wrong )

Wouldn’t you think they’d use that time to get us vaccinated

You’re running these days mate :+1::+1:

Agreed.

Yeah I agree. When the rule about holidays was brought in I was arguing with friends about it saying if you owned a pub or something why shouldn’t you fuck off on holidays if you could.

520 coughs 1 sneeze

Nothing changes here mate, it will be fantastic as always. Really looking forward to the week kicking off next Sunday as we mark the humble journey of Jesus into Jerusalem to observe the Passover.

I think that’s a mistake. This is a different segment of society getting infected, in part because they’re increasingly the only people who can get infected. Vaccinating the health care workers was also a game changer. The death rate dropped last summer as well but shot up when the cold weather returned.

Tis an awful pity there was all that paedophilia by the church, if they still had the power they once had, they’d have the country open and would be firing out the palms goodo.

That’s what I meant I suppose.

Not everyone is on 350

There’s not a lot of clear evidence of whether it has changed.

What is clear though is that public health authorities woefully underestimated how many people got the virus in the first wave. The fear out there over even 50 cases a day was nuts. RTÉ continued to print out of date stats on the serious illness and death % front. When 1,000 hit in October, people thought it was Armageddon but then got overconfident in December on 500.

One of the worst pieces of throwaway advice the WHO gave was the claim that this virus was not seasonal.

Another outrage article to pit us against each other. Someone who has been made unemployed and went somewhere where there is less transmission of this disease and cheaper to live than here. But there’ll be plenty of ‘slap in the face’ comments with it.

I can’t wait until George Lee breathlessly tells us about curious side effect of the vaccine being diabetes levels with NPHET warning us that it would be better to stay locked down.

Dr Ronan Glynn says we can still have a meaningful Summer based on outdoor activities
