Donnelly has just introduced a new law that gives vaccinated people more freedoms.

It is not within the gift of the government to “give” an individual their freedoms or rights (unless, of course, we are living under a totalitarian regime). Far too many people are ignorant of such basic principles.

That’s one of the restrictions. Ireland have not introduced all the restrictions necessary to meet the definition of a lockdown.

Dictionary definitions are the bastion of a geebag. I’ll go down the route of lived experience if that’s ok… what we’ve seen has been unparalleled in this country and pointing to a dictionary to wave it away is all levels of stupid.

This is a really nonsense line of argumentation from you. “Lockdown” has meant different things in different places at various stages of the pandemic. In Ireland level 5 is the most strict level of our restrictions in response to covid, level 5 is Ireland’s lockdown. It is indeed lighter than what’s been applied in other places from time to time but it is our lockdown nonetheless.
