We, it’s consistent at least. Everyone needs to stay at home and keep us all safe. Except for you lot that work in supermarkets, food processing and packaging, kitchens, deliveries, hospitals, off licenses and anything else we might need and declare essential. But be careful, there’s a dangerous virus out there.

This last week has given Western countries a chance to feel all Live Aid again, ultimately it will make little difference. India has a shitload of vaccine manufacturing capability by itself. Giving a few raw materials and ventilators whilst blocking flights and travel from India is typical of how the simpletons in the media think these things work.

Covid was only the start.
Just to correct a few inaccurate statements over the past 24 hours.
Covid does not spread exponentially. It appear to be for the first 3 or 4 weeks and then peaks and declines. Everywhere, regardless of measures taken. Hard lockdowns, soft lockdowns, no lockdowns, same outcome. Why? Because “theory” does not match reality, like a lot of “theory”. Science, which is based on hypothesis and testing said hypothesis, has drawn no conclusions on the drivers of the pandemic yet. The most critical point that has emerged is that Covid is mainly spread by super spreaders, so instead of each infected person infecting 2-3 others, most infect 0-1 and a few infect 20. That’s why it’s so difficult to model this pandemic. It is not linear and it is not exponential, it’s first exponential, followed by power law, followed by exponential decline. Everywhere.

Hungary is a basket case.
Ah come off it it is not. We are probably still slower than most of Europe while we have lower infection rates and the things they’ve loosened are none of them in isolation situations of risk anyway.

I would say it’s the exact opposite - being able to find some positive aspects about life during lockdown signifies that somebody has a very well rounded and versatile appreciation for life.
