Coronavirus - Here for life (In high population density areas)

Did I read somewhere that David McWilliams is quite friendly with the world economic forum @glenshane

I might start giving his podcasts a listen.

Niall fucking Collins. Of course he would fuck up the interview and slip in 6 weeks instead of 3.
But was he warming us up for worse news or for ‘it could have been worse’?

Meanwhile the previous generation have all refused to leave the house again. Into the breach once more at Dunnes.

I am seething here. Have just opened a bottle of brandy for my ‘nerves’

Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in …

I thing it’s the WHC he’s in cahoots with

This isn’t necessarily true. Interest is zero. Say we borrow one jillion at 0% to pay back in 20 years. Meantime, inflation goes up. By the time you pay it back the jillion is worth less than when you got it.

Whats the inflation rate at currently pal?

And since central banks have practiced QE over the last decade we’ve seen little to no inflation worth talking about.

In a normal functioning economy of course you’re right. Thats not the case though.

If it was a blood test then most likely antibody test.

-.3% this year Google tells me. My expectation is that this won’t be a long term trend.

These should have been used at airports months ago for travellers from Orange and Red areas. It isn’t just an Irish failure tbf.

Where can Ireland borrow at 0%?

Stagnation or deflation more likely at this point.

All that capital held nationally by China and I’ll have to go somewhere. Perhaps we could all burn them on the loans

3% this year would be over 200% better than every year over the past decade. I wouldnt be convinced by that mate.

A prediction was it?

Minus point three percent pal.

The US have a National Debt of a few trillion and that was pre Covid.

National Debt is a strange thing. I don’t know think it’s an actual amount to be paid back in full. The interest on it though certainly does.

Nice edit, mate

Kind of debunking your own prior post though no?

A hell of a lot of it went into Tesla and tech shares this year.

Does Luke not do his own studies?

It’s all about the debt rating and being able to refinance it cheaply.

Eg Argentina every 10-15 years
