Coronavirus - the deadly virus that no one dies from

Seems like only some people are getting the notification.

People are getting potential exposure notification logs for a week. It can give you potential close contacts based on people you cross paths with, but apparently isn’t the same as a real close contact alert.

Yeah I’ve the app since launch and haven’t got the notification @Fagan_ODowd is referring to. I’ve seen screenshots of it on Twitter.

I can see in the settings though that it’s logging contacts via the keys.

First one I got. I know somebody who got the same message 2 weeks ago but nothing since.

This is it.

The HSE getting calls based on it but no need to get tested. The app gives a different notification for real close contacts that you need to get a test from.

I’ve seen the exposure log. I assume it just sends pings between phones? Stupid to notify people over potential ones, ruining a lot of plans I’d say.

Probably lots of wasted tests over it.

196 cases

Zero deaths

107 in Dublin.

12 in Waterford, 11 in Limerick, 8 in Wicklow, 7 in Meath, 7 in Kildare, 6 in Laois, 6 in Westmeath, and the remaining 32 cases are located in Cavan, Clare, Donegal, Galway, Kilkenny, Leitrim, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Monaghan, Offaly, Roscommon, Tipperary, Wexford.

Looking at the HPSC reports it seems that one death was de notified. So I can’t determine the age profile for all of the 3 deaths confirmed yesterday.

2 of those 3 deaths were aged 85+

They just don’t get it. Their seethe and envy blinds them to we can survive a lot longer locked in than they can survive locked out.

Time to embrace the Swedish model. We’re limping along now, getting no closer to zero COVID but still crippling the economy. Give businesses a fighting chance and open the rest of the economy ASAP

I think that is the plan but they need time to row the boat back.

I’d say we could nearly see fans at GAA matches again soon.

Wash your hands and shut up to fuck

It’ll be some craic when they announce the pubs inside the M50 can’t open on the 21st
