And now Iām glad I didnāt know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But Iād of had to miss the dance
Yes my life is better left to chance
I could have missed the pain but Iād of had to miss the dance
Youāre a good guy. Obviously.
Sometimes you just need to ignore the nonsense you donāt like as otherwise you get dragged under.
We all rise and fall to same level. No harm to have a release valve. Even if his posts but not him annoys you.
Critics who treat āadultā as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.
C.S. Lewis
You left in the rain without closing the door
I didnāt stand in your way
Now I miss you more than I, Missed you before and now
Where Iāll find comfort God knows,
But you,left me
just when I needed you most

Say yes to sun!
Say yes to pain!
Say yes to sticking with a city
Through a thousand days of rain!
Say yes to grace!
Say no to spite!
Say yes to this!
Say yes to you!
Say yes to me!
Say yes to love!
Say yes to life!
Say, say yes to life!
You see what youāve only gone and started?
Conehead Donnelly, the cunt. Get it right.
The view from the Slieve Bloom, dreams I can still see
A beauty just as grand as you will find
These are scenes from childhood, once more I will return
And meet those folk, those friends we had so fine
So let me get this right. Is it correct to say that I cant have the mother and father out for dinner today? Genuine question
Childcare is allowed and youāre their child š¤·š¼
Itās only a matter of time youād have to say before a code red ā¦ if people want a decent Christmas with families I think they should be calling for a level 4 or 5 sooner rather than later - thatās just the sad truth of it.
If we just get it done with now, weāll probably only have one more lockdown around mid Feb and weāll be back for Paddyās day and hopefully the vaccine starts trickling down through the population by then and before summer.
I can see them heading g down that route by the end of the week. I would put a bet on that the schools will be closed for an extra week and weāll be in lockdown in everything but name for at least a fortnight.
Weāve about 4-6 months left and weāre done ā¦ I see the Russian vaccine is near approval also and India have taken it to do their own tests on 60k of their own populationā¦ weāll have 2/3 different vaccines on the go after Christmas ā¦ itās up to all of us to pull together for the last few months now and weāll be out the other side in no time.
The questions about masks, death rates, ICU beds, travel restrictions etc. etc. etc - can all be tackled thenā¦ letās just get through the next few months and we can then tear each other apart.
Is the only treatment at the moment for people who have a mild reaction to covid is to take a couple of paracetamol and lock yourself away for 10 days? How long does someone who asymptomatic carry the virus before they are no longer carriers?
Vaccinate the elderly, the vulnerable, healthcare workers and RTE staff and get on with it
Why would one dose of this vaccine be sufficient when the flu vaccine has to be administered annually? @Tierneevin1979
Quarantine the RTE staff in Clare Byrneās shed until this is over
Iāve no idea ā¦ Labane is your man there. I presume thereās no life immunity and weāll be left with a weaker strain of the virus that will not be as severe to the vulnerable.
I hate Christmas anyway.
The young lad who used to rob gaffs around Moyross now needs his governmentās permission to sit with his family for Christmas dinner.
