Coronavirus thread - 19/10/2020 - The Day Ireland Died

Lockdown the sequel incoming

Level 5+

Dublin cases were levelling off before Level 3. McDonkey was suggesting 5,000 a day by the end of he month.

What an unholy mess.

Level 3 seems to have made next to no difference to Dublin and Donegal so far. A pathetic contact tracing system, a creaking health system that struggles even without covid and seemingly little preparation undertaken over the last 7 months to prepare for this winter.

We need another Simon Harris tweet to rouse the nation.

Poor personal responsibility by plenty of flutes such as yourself also a contributory factor but donā€™t mention thatā€¦

McGregor needs to get involved, in fairness heā€™s never been found wanting.

This looking very very bleak

Is it Tonyā€™s decision not to give the full breakdown of counties? It was usually around the 30/40 that would say ā€œremainder between so many countiesā€

The growth rate is out of control.

Iā€™m watching the briefing and Iā€™m now fully back in the Lockitdown camp

Bad?

Very bad.

If the number of cases in a county was less than 5 theyā€™d usually be thrown in with a few other counties.

Hasnā€™t been like that In a while though.

Up to last week anything about 7 would get you mentioned, now its up around 30.

The jackeens are the problem. Behaving like their cousins in the North of England.

Lads would want to reign it in here. Weā€™re obviously in bother again.

I havenā€™t had a social contact in 5 days.

They will probably move to level 5 for October break when kids are off school and extend the schools off for 2 weeks and lockdown the whole country for 3 weeks.

The Glynn lad let it run away from him. His career is now toast. Holohan is going to make it as awkward as he likes.
