The reopening of pubs is a convenient one given the rest or Europe is also seeing cases rise. Schools are far more likely.

One recurring feature of outbreaks down this way is people who haven’t gotten test results back heading out and about in their daily business.

I think Paul Reid mentioned this morning that they are looking to roll out antigen testing which is a more real time test but its sensitivity levels are not on a par with the PCR test.

I’m not sure how could ever keep it out of a nursing home setting to be honest unless you do what they did in large parts of Florida and have a sort of bubble. But those retirement homes are more like mini communities with their own shops, hairdressers etc. A carer in a nursing home or a nurse could have an asymptomatic kid bring the virus back from school and unwittingly pass it on to someone in a nursing home. It can be as innocuous as that. There was 1 case where a man was taken out of a nursing home last week and transferred to another one and infected half the people there.
