I never had hay-fever, then got it extremely bad for 4 or 5 years in my late 20/30s. Its seems have eased off again the last few years.
Usually a spoon of Zyrtek sorts me out if I feel it coming on.

The mother tells me that the hairdresser that contributed to over 50 close contacts was Marbles in Limerick.
