Coronavirus Thread (Markey hates Immigrants )

Protests supported by the far left should, while simultaneously calling for strict lockdown and MHQ.

283 cases. 23 in ICU

Right so who decides what protests are ok?

GB News.

No Iā€™m honestly curious here. Surely protests, by their nature, will be something that a lot of people donā€™t agree with. If theyā€™re all banned for health reasons fair enough (Iā€™d disagree with that personally) but allowing some and not others is bullshit

The left wants opinions it doesnā€™t agree with, or canā€™t argue against, ā€˜deplatformedā€™ or in other words they want to burn books containing words they donā€™t like.

Thatā€™s quite a far right attitude. You determine what protests or rallies are permitted based on your own personal sensibilities.

A protest about dodgy blocks is ok but a protest against business shut down is not.

Arenā€™t you the lad that continuously complains about things being called far right? Tut tut.

As a matter of interest I am not sure why the taxpayers should be paying out here. As I was driving along Sheriff St earlier I saw three protestors get into a new Merc ready for the drive back to Donegal.

We live in a country where since Eircom (which shares went up after flotation I think) people expect their losses to be socialised and their profits to be their own.

Are lads whose houses are built on flood plains being compensated for having a house they canā€™t sell.

Much more seriously and more fundamentally we donā€™t have a no-fault compensation system for catastrophic incidents at birth and Iā€™d argue we should and not make parents sue the State on a wing and a prayer.

Whoā€™s the joke, mate?

A Fine Gael policy.

Iā€™m sorry for the people whose houses are crumbling but the notion that the State has a duty to chemically inspect every concrete block that goes into a house isnā€™t tenable.

Agreed. Itā€™s shit for the owners but they can sue the builder/architect/block provider who presumably have insurance.

The Government are covering 90 per cent of cost for PPR. I also wonder how many of the not covered holiday homes are owned by Irish tax payers.

Iā€™m still wondering what exactly Home Bond covered.

The problem being that they paid to fix the Pyrite isssue which was mainly a Dublin problem
.

Homebond expired after 10 years.
I doubt many private builds availed of them.either.

Youā€™d have to admire their optimism leaving a Merc parked on Sherrif st.

Yes they shouldnā€™t really have covered that either.

I agree, but they did set a precedent.
