Britain will go back to normal when it can be demonstrated that cases are falling under the current level of restrictions. That can only happen with critical mass of vaccinations. And even then it’s subject to reversal once you do go back to normal.

It should be the same logic in this country.

In other words you can never go back to normal. Because there will always be people who are vulnerable as their immune system is compromised, so they will always be at risk from serious illness and death. As long as that risk is there you do not believe we should be ending restrictions. That’s a fringe view, not surprising you hold it.

I’m not sure how you read that. It has to be a deliberate misreading to satisfy your need for a straw man.

You can’t have no restrictions with the virus perpetually growing. If you are in a stage where the cases are falling, with critical mass of vaccinations, you can then think about moving on to the next stage.

It’s fairly simple stuff to understand.

It does. When cases drop again and vaccinations are much higher, you will still oppose lifting restrictions because of the danger of cases rising again, new variants, etc. At some point you have to call a halt to the madness.
