Most public sector workers donāt work on Friday afternoons. The half day would be during the week so they can get a few bits done. Iām only jealous really.
In a way heās not wrong. Because of all the bullshit needed off of every passenger and the fact that the excellent, Uber-modern scanners crash every time they are used, itās taking upwards of a minute to deal with an EU passenger at the moment (assuming everything is in order). It would be closer to 10 seconds in normal time.
Even with full teams in (we havenāt had any new staff in over two years), that means itād take 6 staff half an hour to do a regular full Ryanair flight. It wouldnāt take much passenger volume to make that situation completely unmanageable and for the queues to be insane.
Of course, if we dropped the utter pointless and unworkable Passenger locater form, stopped requiring expensive PCR tests from each and every passenger (even vaccinated ones) or had equipment that worked, it might improve.
When travel resumes will planes have their capacity limited?
Some joke if they are going to limit restaurants, pubs, theatres, sports clubs, cinemas etc with their capacity but not airline companies.
No. Travel is currently happening, despite Irelandās head in the sand approach. Planes are full usually because there are fewer of them going.
Seems mad that airlines will be allowed operate full capacity while Irish businesses will be shafted.
It is a joke limiting all those places yes
Airplanes have excellent air filtration systems. You wonāt have a scenario like that Starbucks in South Korea where lots of people became infected from one person.
Lol
Do you mean the eGates here? Iāve never had an issue going through one anywhere and my passport is due for replacement in two years time, is battered and filthy. Is it just cause the people using them are idiots?
I want to understand the problem before we start bombarding Ashutosh with dev tickets.
Forget about the egates. Theyāve been closed for 15 months
