Coronavirus Thread - Pause before - The Final Battle (Part 1)

Lads, relax.

Christmas is lovely. Some people like it. Some donā€™t.

Thats enough of that.

Move on.

are you auditioning for a moderators gig?

The three or four posts above.

Itā€™s clear you seem to think people ignore and abandon friends and families for the rest of the year.

I happen to place more value in them than assigning them to a two week holiday season.

Iā€™m trying to nicely tell you that Christmas is an emotional time for people who may or may not have lost loved ones.

Just let it be.

Well I think itā€™s a strange time of the year to hate as it is generally the time you spend most with the people you care about

Where is that clear?

Another unqualified generalisation there.

If people are important in your life youā€™ll make time to see them whenever you want.

Right Iā€™ll leave it there. Apparently Christmas isnā€™t the time of year where people see their friends and family the most often

You donā€™t have to like all of it. You can have a good time with your friends and family while simultaneously not liking the pressure put on families to spend over the top etc. Or the intense marketing or all the twee shite that goes with it or the same movies on repeat.

Grow up

What you said was that people who dislike Christmas hate their friends and families.

Backtrack.

when you are married there are two families to spend time with. Two sets of friends etc. Itā€™s not as easy or straightforward as you make out in your little head

You made a nasty enough comment by proxy of @Batigol to @Fulvio_From_Aughnacloy which is your m.o, you wouldnā€™t even reply directly to him

Tell that to the cops who spend Christmas Day and Stephens day going out to domestic tear ups between reunited familiesā€¦

Just on this, Governments donā€™t get a pass on an issue just because there are also other things on. They donā€™t get to say sorry weā€™re not looking at Brexit today because weā€™re preoccupied with Leoā€™s latest leak.

ā€œAll the pieces matter.ā€

Iā€™m not giving governments a pass on this issue.

But in a worldwide pandemic, discretionary international travel is a the very, very bottom of priorities

Give us a list of the priorities in order there.

International travel by plane is very low risk and has been proven to be so.

Most people travelling internationally do so for an essential purpose, not to party in a locked down country.

By who?

Was it American Airlines?

Iā€™ll give you a hint, look in the second part of their name.

How many cases have been attributed to planes globally?
