I dunno. We had Covid in our house a few months ago. Only the unvaxed lad got it.
My MIL got it. She was vaxed but she didnât get too sick. Sheâs in her 70s and pre vax youâd have been worried but nobody was too stressed at all.
I think the vax reduces the disease to a nuisance for almost everybody which is why the new restrictions to spare the HSE blushes over their normal winter shit show is frustrating.

This is all very simple when you think about it. The third dose increases immunity, so after the fourth dose you are protected. Once 90% of the population has received the fifth dose, the restrictions can be eased because the sixth dose stops transmission of the virus. The guidance at this stage has to be that the seventh dose will address our concerns and we will have no reason to be fearful of taking an eighth dose. The clinical trials for the ninth dose will show that antibodies remain beyond the tenth dose. The eleventh dose will ensure that no new viral mutations develop, so there is no longer any reason to challenge the concept of the twelfth dose.

I donât think it makes any difference to the people who are at risk from it, mate.
End of the day in my view, covid is a real threat to the elderly and people with underlying illnesses. Being vaccinated or not now is clearly making no difference.
Its disappointing. But it is a fact.
Maybe in fairness quarterly boosters might help. Time will tell.
