Coronavirus Thread (sponsored by Anthony Fauci & Pfizer) (Part 5)

I think what mainly happened was the government, who are clueless, took the decisions based on perceived “public mood”, intense business lobbying and what other countries were doing, and the state-affiliated public health crisis management team was asked to justify decisions that in their heart of hearts they could not possibly have believed in.

This was ticking all through September and October. Many posters here predicted it, not least of all me. They had plenty of opportunity to stop it. Boosters @TheUlteriorMotive

By the way TUM, I think they’ve already suggested that they’re going to scrap the 6 month booster rule for aul folks in their 60s who go the AZ and their 2nd dose was delayed (you might recall). This was on the front page of one of the papers.

If you got the Janssen vaccine its a 3 month gap I think.

Also, it doesn’t make any sense how you still have to sit down in pubs but nightclubs are at 100% capacity.

Nightclubs didn’t even expect to get 100% capacity, they were getting ready to open on about 60%.

The only way out is through I think … everything else has been tried and is just Bollox

Lads literally spending their lives arguing this absolute bullshit on TFK, and all the studies they must be reading for ammunition

It’s absolute madness, talk to your families

It’s about trying to make ‘the through’ as least bad as possible.

The captain of the Titanic thought that.

Is it time to show a bit of pig headedness and just plough on?

I think the primary focus should be on the vulnerable, as it should have been from the beginning. It’s true that relatively speaking more unvaccinated are in hospital, but the significant issue is that people over 65 are 25X more likely to be hospitalized compared to a teenager or young adult, and that gets progressively worse as age increases. There should be nobody over 65 unvaccinated and they should all have had boosters at this point, we knew about immunity waning in summer, it’s ridiculous how long the roll out of boosters has been (even here).

Other than that we could be in a tough spot entering winter. I honestly don’t believe people will abide by another lockdown, especially the young, so boosters are the best bet.

That’s exactly it, once it’s going forwards instead of backwards …

How did that end up ? I never saw the film …

Yes people will abide by another lockdown because lockdown is largely based on whether businesses can legally trade or not.

Therefore people have no choice but to abide by it.

And the majority of people will abide by both the spirit and the letter of it in a general sense.

The activities of fascist thugs like in Rotterdam are amplified far beyond their significance by the nature of social media.

In reality there are very, very few people like that.

They had to desperately call for the Californian to save them… :grimacing:

Yes, don’t bother your ass reading studies or trying to understand the complexities of the situation. Simply, bury your head in the sand and trust your government.

“I’m from the government and I’m here to help.”

Well he should steer clear of you anyway if that’s his aim.

Ya, because I’d be the right man to be interpreting scientific or medical studies, :joy:
I’m not deluded

The ‘critical thinkers’ will love that post :grinning:

Good for you. The problem is the vaccine fascists get very bent out of shape when others want to take responsibility for this aspect of their own lives.
