Seems to be a fairly rigid urban/rural divide on opinions on travellers here. Could go into a lot of debate why that is. This is a private forum so your choice but theres huge issues based on statistics, not off the cuff generalizations, on travellers life expectancy, incarceration rates, employment and education rates etc. Virtue signalling by calling people nazis who state this doesn’t actually achieve much.

I haven’t time to read all the posts on this topic at the moment.

It’s not for me to say who is and isn’t a cunt obviously.

But I pay money to host this site and I will not allow it to be a place where generalized comments about travellers are allowed to be seen as the norm around here. Maybe we’ve tolerated too much in the past. Because free speech is one thing, morons repeating the same racist bile ad nauseum is not something I endorse or will support.

The internet is a big place. If you want to make a case for travellers being some sort of underclass go do it somewhere else.

That literally has been going on for years here. It’s your site and you can do what you want with it but it’s funny that the “I don’t want anything to do with it” comes up now.

Ross has conpletely whitewashed from his past his unwavering support for INBS and fingleton. Hes been the worst minister I can recall. Hed like nowt more than to decimate rural Ireland

My biggest issue with Ross isn’t the Stepaside station or him protesting against student accommodation in his constituency, it’s the fact that he’s a minister and does nothing about issues he was the High Priest of moaning about for years. CIÉ, FÁS- he was all over these things for years along of course having amazing insight in declaring Terminal 2 of Dublin a white elephant. He’s our Transport Minister now.
