I had a package i ordered Tuesday delivered by An Post today
I got one today!
I fired a package off to a pal in munich…sent her last Friday, she arrived on Monday. I drove to dundalk to avoid anyone in germany having to pay customs. The lady in the post office was lovely, did a reasonable amount of effing and blinding, but lovely nonetheless. Great service…I experienced none of the irrational ‘nordie’ hatred that so many of my shorter, uglier and less charming northern brethren often report

It’s not bad at all. Different countries definitely have different ethical standards when it comes to bidness…I’d rank ireland no. 2 in the entire world, based on the few countries I’ve had some minor dealings with

An Post need to up their game.
Excellent tracking on any package from Europe until it leaves mainland Europe.
Then nothing for a week.
Next thing you get three emails from An Post on the day of delivery.
8am - We have your package.
9am - It’s out for delivery.
10am - Your package has been delivered.
A box of plants from Germany.
They left it outside in the freezing frost.
Didn’t even knock…

Na sports file sent it to him,
Offer him a 3 month paid trial,
But as a junior photographer,
Dublin for a month,
He told them could they match his earnings ?
They couldn’t ,
And as he’s working full time aswell as working for another soccer club in Munster as their paid photographer plus whatever private commissions he gets elsewhere he decided for the moment to stay here,
On top of that his boss works around his other soccer job so he owes him loyalty aswell,
He’s not 23 until later on this month,
So worlds his oyster/
Plus he still city’s photographer when his other ones matches don’t clash-
He’s making his bones,
Did a few internationals recommended by the FAI,
His Munster women’s rugby photos are wrapped around a bus at one of our airports,
He’s not afraid of work,
And will end up ok I hope and pray,
And most important from my perspective he’ won’t fuck away his life like I did.
