Coursing 2010/11 - The Road to Clonmel

Given Rintintinā€™s sound postulation regarding the gradient preferences of Soundmanpaddy perhaps he should be saved for the flat field of Greenmount? I would imagine The Dunph has an Irish Cup nomination at this stage, otherwise perhaps JP or Sir Mark Prescott could be approached? I would certainly have no hesitation with broaching the subject with SMARK at Clonmel if needs be, as he almost certainly wonā€™t be nominating any of his own dogs which tend to be pedestrian in nature.

I donā€™t mind asking Sir Mark about it myself the next time i meet himā€¦

Any suggestions for the by now traditional ā€˜post Clonmel anti depression trip to the sunā€™ locations? I was thinking of perhaps flying to Malaga the following Friday and heading up to Granada to see the legendary Al Hambra, would I get sun in the Malaga area at that time of year? I would advise anyone else going to Clonmel to organise the same as the depression after Clonmel has been known to be of the terrible variety. You need something to look forward to.

I would agree wholeheartedly with this, going into work on the Thursday had to be the most depressing feeling Iā€™ve had in many yearsā€¦ :frowning:

Youā€™d get sun nearly all year round in Malaga. Was 18 odd degrees in January this year when I passed through it.

Iā€™ve put in to have the entire Clonmel week off work just like last year but i havenā€™t had it confirmed yet. All going according to plan i might fly out to the Dam on the Thursday to get over the post Clonmel bluesā€¦

How do you put in to have the week off when you work in your own fields?

With the staff like. Provided none of them request that week or go sick then iā€™m away in a hackā€¦

Itā€™s shocking and no talk of Irish Cups or Cheltenham can lift the gloom for at least 10 days. I usually get a text from POC about 10pm on the Wednesday night saying something like ā€˜All I see is darknessā€™ or something like that.

18 degrees, thatā€™s the shot. Great stuff.

Good shout mate, very wisely done. Are you staying down in Clonmel all week this time? I hope youā€™re not scurrying home every night.

Iā€™ll be staying in Clonmel for the few days again hopefully. Iā€™m hopeful Tournafulla Man and 2RE will be coming along too. Iā€™ll have a few people at home to look after the farm in my absence.

I think i was sending around those ā€œAll i see is darknessā€ texts myself last year by the Wednesday night. I will be going absolutely bonkers down there this yearā€¦

I am taking to full week this year, and with a bit of luck will be celebrating long into the weekendā€¦ wah hey !!

With duties to attend to this year, I may have to scurry home in the evenings, but I am sure we will work something out between this and then.

Jaysis, I can waitā€¦ must fill out the entry form that they posted me!

Will you be having a few jars HB?

you can chalk that downā€¦

I wonder if MAD has the same taxi booked back to the hotel for this year B)

Which one? The one directly after coursing or the one at 3 in the morning?

I was referring to the 3am one.
But ya maybe you could arrange for them to collect us after coursing too, would be safer than last years taxi.

didnā€™t hear you complain at the time! B)
