I would suggest a blended whiskey. Jameson would be perfectly acceptable.
I know the MAD crew like to break out the Glenfiddich for Clonmel.
I presume the hip flask is compulsory for every memeber is it?
Are we requiered to go through some induction course or something if itās our first trip to the Clonmel finals?
I think Iāll bring a drop of Whyte and Mackay anyway.
Indeed and this year if you are offered a swig from a hip flask you fucking accept it, and donāt be politely declining B)
I normally fill the hip flask with Brandy and Port, but this year we have a new warmer.
At the weekend I bottled a gallon of Slow Gin that has been on the go for 12 weeks, smashing stuff, and will warm the cockles of your heart.
All this talk of drinking Whiskey from hip flasks is very temptingā¦
Is accomodation all gone?
What days is it on again?
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.
31st Jan, 1st, 2nd Feb
I think our (MAD, RTT, a few cousins) accomodation is full.
There is supposed to be others coming down with us and donāt know what they have done about accomodation (Iām thinking very little).
We have a house rented with a couple of spare bedrooms if anyone wants to jump on board for the night and chip in towards the rent?

I presume the likes of HB and MAD will be putting the finishing touches to their previews shortly. Looking forward to reading themā¦
Iāll wait until the draw is made before making my selections. Iām tempted to go down for the call over on the Sunday night now to sample the atmosphere, although the lack of superbowl hijinx is a worry.
Weāll have to resort to gambling on lads racing up the street on Tuesday night, Iām available to perform as slipper again this year if called upon.
Iāll have a bag o sand on the poisoned dwarf(runt)!!! He is low to the ground and he will turn easy.
I will definitely pull off that hussle this year!
I wonder if Harry the dog will be in attendance.
What does the call over involve and how would you get into it? Could you pay on the door? I presume it refers to the drawā¦
Also, are they organising anything for Mulcahys on the Tuesday night seeing as there will be no sky dogs on?
Doubt Harry will be there as he has nothing qualified though he has bred a few qualifiers.
The callover is akin to a cheltenham preview night, it takes place in the hotel minella, you have a panel of experts giving their views, and they also interview a number owners & trainers who are inevitably in attendance, its free to attend and thereās finger food laid on, they also serve drink until the wee hours. No better way to start off the week really.
Sounds good, i wouldnāt mind heading down for that.
2RE, you in?
