Customer Service Experiences - Good & Bad

Maybe it wasn’t being offered at the time. I thought there was something advertised. 5 year warranty and 3 years service. I wouldn’t trust the particular salesman but maybe he’s telling the truth.

Maybe not.

If the dealership has a FB page then check back….

Example of current offer….

I was just contacted by a company representing eflow who said I owed 12 quid for two unpaid journeys , and fines. The letter looks fully legit, with photos and everything, and the date of travel was correct, but they put down two northbound m50 journeys within 2 hours of each other, which didn’t happen. I’d also paid the toll, and checked my reg on the eflow and there’s nothing owing on it.
Finally, despite it saying two northbound journeys, there’s one picture of the front numberplate, and the other is of the back.
I think this must be a scam, but if it is, it’s a very good one.

Scam alright buddy.

As it happens I got the below text from an unknown number today:

“eFlow: You have been recorded using the motorway without paying the appropriate charge(s)of 6.40, visit:https://eflow-depositonline.com or an additional fine of 97.50 will be sent to your home address.”

Is it your numberplate in the photos? They’d have had to hack eflow go get those wouldn’t they

It is, and they would, or have an inside person. Thing is, I definitely didn’t make two northbound journeys, and I paid for the one I did. There’s also no outstanding charge on the car.

It’s a small enough amount too that many would pay it without giving it a second thought. If they’ve all the data it wouldn’t be a whole lot of effort to get easy money

I’m concerned that it may be an eflow error rather than a scam, but :person_shrugging:

Tis a scam

I’d say this isn’t beyond the bounds of possibility but it’s highly sophisticated if it’s true. CCTV systems are notoriously unsecure but it seems pretty elaborate and surely be caught pretty quickly if a pile of people start reporting bogus charges.

I got a refund of €47 off Amazon today.
I didnt order anything of that value. And stuff I did get recently,is all paid/delivered and accounted for.

Cause for concern??

Had an issue with my alarm. Line fault. It would beep and I’d put in the code and it would stop and then it would start again usually at an ungodly hour and scare the shit out of me in the middle of the night. Anyway I had enough of it and I eventually tracked down the number of the alarm company that put it in ( they all have different codes ) I called to the house of a fella that put it in - he wasn’t answering the phone. The wife told me that he had merged with another company and had got a new phone. Anyway I rang the new company at 3 pm and by 5 a fella had been and gone from the house and the problem was sorted. Nice one :+1::clap:

You’re generous with your customer service rating given that you had to basically hunt your installer down

Maybe he came out quick because I had found out where he lived.
