When Garmin can aggravate a race so much it can only be a good sign

Garmin won one stage (?). And chose their days to attack well. I believe in them, but I don’t believe in many of the other teams.
And, having said that, I was absolutely dismayed to hear people like David Millar congratulate Froome, “as he knows how much work he puts in” when, to me, it’s quite obvious he is NOT riding pan y agua.

If he was he’s the greatest cyclist there’s ever been, simple as that. My opinion.

Talansky performed v well despite coming in undercooked. When guys like him perform in third week (when doping is most beneficial) it’s significant.
Hesjedal won arguably hardest GT of them all last year. Martin performing so well when not sick. All reasons to be cheerful.
None of above would have been achievable five years ago imo

Yeah, I take your points larry. But as I said, Froome, Quintana etc…these are the leaders and I don’t believe in them for one second.

Link to Kimmage interview anyone please[/quote]

Ta

The line I most remember from Rough Ride was something like: “drugs, not to improve your performance, but just to allow you to get up and ride your bike the next day”.

The Guardian had a photo of Riblon and another AG2R rider looking absolutely spent after the first Froome show on that Saturday a couple of weeks ago. The next day the two of them were attacking with gay abandon on the stage which Dani Martin won. Sweetly enough, the Guardian used that photo during their attack

It’s cleaner, but it ain’t clean. Not even close.

I presume you’ve seen the list of positives from '98 released by the French authorities?

Stuart O’Grady is the one I’m most happy about. An absolute weazel of a man.

Heard that was being released today-link?

It was obvious when he dramatically retired the other day that he was going to be named in this. Good riddance to him.

Yep. For all the absolute bullshit he came out with post-Armstrong…“never an option on my teams”, “never saw anything” etc…christ, in a sport that had practically lost the capacity to appall, he actually succeeded.

Kimmage and @owenslot of The Times having a bit of a set to on twitter at present over the second captains piece.

Kimmage is batting this guy away with ease.

What’s the general gist? I don’t have the capacity to access twitter in this heckhole of a workplace I’m tethered to.

He is, but again am a little worried about Kimmage, a whole lot of anger there and you wonder where this will end for him.

Don’t have capacity to post the tweets at moment Thrawneen but its generally Kimmage calling out The Times/Sunday Times and taking on all comers as a result.

The reply to @richardmoore73 is a dinger

@owenslot: @SSbike last year, as @PaulKimmage may recall, the first newspaper to write the Geert Leinders story? The Times

@PaulKimmage: @owenslot @SSbike Thanks for reminding us of that Owen. If you listen to it again, you may recall I was talking about The Sunday Times.

@owenslot: @PaulKimmage @SSbike If that’s not what you meant, I’ll back off. But strange to say that ST might be “in house” and Times not

@PaulKimmage: @owenslot @SSbike No, no, don’t back off keep coming. The question was about the David Walsh piece in The Sunday Times?

@owenslot: @PaulKimmage @SSbike 3) But the idea that his opinion has been bought because he works for Murdoch? No. Just don’t buy it

@PaulKimmage: @owenslot @SSbike You should have gone to Specsavers Owen (they do hearing aids too). I never said his opinion had been bought.

Trying to c+p this on my phone, nightmare. Hope it works

Fair play SR, appreciate that.

Paul just told some other journo to take his tongue out of sir daves arse now. He’s an angry man. Some other fella made the point that its hard evidence rather than hard questions that are needed at this stage. As he says questions did nothing to bring down lance or anyone else it was disgruntled ex colleagues etc. need to go same route with froome surely.

No way :o

Who was the journo mate, what his twitter ID?
