No I’m Just trying to ease tension a little and create a bit of interest/fun. Reale done really well on Kelly.
Yup, as I said it’s the only thing I could give Horgan in this. Kelly was very average the last few years.
He was roasted in 2002 in PUC.
I don’t remember 02.
Reale destroyed Kelly a number of times .
The whole point is debating two great players.
He did tbf.
He ‘held him up a bit’ as much as he could when Kelly was in his pomp more than most could from 01-06.
Kelly was pure class.
Fuck Tipp…I’m changing my vote to Horgan
That’s the spirit it’s just nice to even read about these players and fellas opinions on them.
I know but yesterday The same fellas claimed Reale was very overrated and today claim Kelly was miles ahead. Kelly was done by 09 really. Horgan is arguably still getting better.
He’s an all time great. Even the kk lads will tell you that.
Poor Horgan has got dogs abuse for being lazy etc for 75% of his career. Real rubbish imo but he has been unlucky that he’s hurling in these times of Cork being down.
I can’t recall a Horgan performance like a Kelly performance like v LK in Thurles in 2006 for example. Single handledy bet LK on his own.
Ah stop — An awful Limerick team. Kelly had loads of quiet days.
Reale awful? Tipp were as bad as the trilogy proved in 07.
Kelly won the game on his own. Try watching it, bro.
Eoin Kelly never put in a performance like pat Horgan did last year v Kilkenny in Croker. 3-9 I think it was.
He wasnt anything special. I never thought he was and he quietened Kelly plenty of days.
Horgan in his 30s is light years ahead of Horgan in his 20s.
Pretty sure Mark Foley was corner back & on him for long periods that day. Foleys legs were near gone. Dunno what he was doing back corner back.
Eoin Kelly carried Tipp for the mid noughties and was a scoring machine. He was the bane of our existence in Limerick for much of that period and the difference between an average Tipp team and a shite-average Limerick one.
He also game some display in defeat in the 09 final against Kilkenny. When no one from Tipp was standing up, himself and Lar nearly stopped a four in a row on their own
