Daily Debate: Eoin Kelly (Tipperary) v Pat Horgan (cork)

Kilkenny improved immensely when Shefflington went off. Probably best not to start a player with a torn cruciate ligament

a team consists of numbers 1 to 9 as well

What was Tipps record v king Henry over the course of his career

Yes, Eamon Corcoran and Brendan Cummins were good players. Who else? There is no way that the Tipp team in Kelly’s prime of say 2003-2006 is better than the Cork team now

The JPR Williams against England syndrome.

Apart from the 2010 Final when Shefflin was sent out with a ruptured cruciate and lasted 12 minutes, Kilkenny with Shefflin faced Tipperary 7 times in the Championship and prevailed in all 7. Killenny won all three league finals against Tipperary that Shefflin played in as well.

Are you suggesting that they should have kept Shefflin on with a torn cruciate?

Interesting. Safe to say tipp couldn’t beat Kilkenny when the king was playing.

Henry had a great career alright.

He doesn’t have a 5 in Row t-shirt though, I do.

Shefflin was no better than Eoin Larkin, Richie Hogan or Richie Power. A long way behind DJ Carey and TJ Reid

Is @ChairmanDan a Kilkenny fanboy? Or does he just hate Tipp like the rest of us

DJ is the greatest player I’ve seen. No arguments

He’s from Carlow so I presume it’s a Tom Dempsey/Michael Duignan type situation

I’m from North London.

:joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::relaxed:

I’d be lynched by some of the simpletons here if I included a third Tipp player

DJ is the best Kilkenny forward of my lifetime, hands down. But I’d have Shefflin second to him, more for his impact than anything else

Idiot

Tipp won in 2010 because Kilkenny thought they could carry an injured player

What was tipps record like in every other game the king played in?

DJ definitely my favourite, and probably the best of the kilkenny trio.

anyways this is the Hoggy v Kelly thread
