Would your auld boy wear Tommy Hilfiger?
I’d say he’s more a GANT man or whatever it is the mother buys him.
So Kiltormer haven’t been relegated?
I only ever remembered them as being John Commins’ club
John Commins from Gort?
His club is actually Clarinbridge.
sorry it was hayes in front of him
Not Darren Frehill but I heard a presenter on the KCLR sports show make a plethora of errors in the space of about 2 minutes yesterday afternoon. Don’t think it was FOTF Oisin Langan.
•The presenter in question told the listeners twice that Everton had beaten Crystal Palace in the early game, before proceeding to state that they were playing Newcastle in the evening game.
• He stated with some confidence that James Stephen’s and Glenmore had finished 3-12 to 3-12.
• He reckoned that Gowran had beaten Danesfort in the Intermediate relegation semi-final.
I reckon he had no interest in sport and was completely bluffing. You’d wonder why they put him in such a position.
Ah right so it is a mistake.
They have.
There’s a huge change in population dynamics in the last few decades. The clubs nearer the city like Oranmore, Athenry, Clarinbridge, Craughwell have massive numbers whilst those in the extreme south & east are struggling to field teams.
I’m amazed Oranmore aren’t winning senior titles. The place is buzzing like during the Celtic Tiger.
They are coming very strong at underage.
It’s difficult to win in Galway, they take their club GAA very seriously.
I had him on in the car coming back from the game in Thomastown and he proceeded to make a litany of score errors and team errors across multiple codes.
I wouldn’t like to be too critical of a fella presenting on local radio as I can’t imagine any of them are on serious coin but jaysus this was just the pits considering he only had to read out from a sheet in front of him.
Outstanding from Darren today.
Corofin have won 9 of the last 11 Frank Cox* Cups apparently with the other three shared between Moycullen and Mountbellew Moylough
