David Bowie RIP

Dear Lord what a gem. It just feels all wrong. A very sad day.

I’ve been listening to Modern Love a lot lately, its a fucking classic.

Google it mate

Starman is the one for me. A great clip on youtube of him performing it on TOTP. Have posted it a few times.

Wasn’t choosing Modern Love, just figured it tied into @Phil_Leotardo’s wedding playlist no doubt. I’m not sure I could pick one. Incidentally in The Martian (while it may not have been Rocko’s cup of tea, I enjoyed it), they used Starman over the more obvious Life on Mars.

If I was to pick a favourite David Bowie tune it would be this one.

Moonage Daydream from Ziggy Stardust.

I also have particularly found memories of Sorrow and Sound and Vision. We used to cover those in Frankfurter Allgemeine. I used to do the vocals for Sound and Vision from behind the drum kit.

Heroes is a great song, so is JohnIm only dancing. The intro for the Jean Genie is as good as glam rock got.

youd have to concluðe that the 70s rockstar lifestyle was fairly heavy duty as another bites the dust, Bowie following Lemmy into the next life.

Lets be honest, the man even has one of the great Christmas Songs with Peace on Earth - Little Drummer Boy.

Fagan I’d imagine Elton won’t be far behind. Its a miracle him and Bowie made it this far by all accounts.

RIP Bowie, a legend of music.

What kind of drugs would we be talking about with regards to Bowie? Anything and everything or whatever was in vogue at the time?

Ah bollox
a true legend.

RIP pal.

 Legend.

Cocaine mainly, I’d say.

And you only after getting the greatest hits album.

I tried to learn the words to that once when younger (I know, wild childhood what), had a fair few of them at one point :pensive:

It’s not too late

Great to see it resurrected in the modern consciousness lately by its inclusion on the Guardians of the Galaxy OST. Brilliantly used in the film.

Take one guess
