He’s playing with a limited hand but was a bit flat last year and very tame exit to Cork in the end. Things looking better this year but see how tomorrow goes. We export football managers and import hurling ones - in the absence of a credible successor he’s welcome to stick around.

Mattie to Galway and Davy to Dublin must happen for the good of the sport.

What a legacy Davy has left in Wexford. In 50 years time they’ll still be talking about that 35 minutes against Tipp in 2019. The day he cracked the game of hurling.

Who have ye exported in football really? Big Johnny Magee did a couple of years in Wicklow and Paul Bealin with Wexford and Carlow only ones that spring to mind. Paddy Christie Tipp U20 too maybe.

Edit: Tommy Carr did stints in Cavan and Roscommon going back to the 00’s.
