Davy Fitz- a thread for the non-believers

In the Robbie Heffernan sense, maybe.

Christ, I’m seething.

I hope Wexford GAA’s crack PR team are drafting one of their top class press releases.

There wouldn’t be an underage club management team left in-situ if this was applied at all levels. Old boys up and down the sideline about 20 yards into the pitch following the game up and down. Davy was only reverting to his roots.

They gave him the minimum sentence possible - they’ve been kind to Wexford GAA if anything.

Okay, you’re right. I’ve settled down now.

It would be little loss to the game if all those boys were fucked out over the wall as well.

Glad to hear it — Those Muldoon roots that you try so hard to bury were in serious danger of breaching the surface.

Never said he was in the right but look back at the clip and tune out of the media hysteria.

He shook he shoulder, without connecting or coming close to, Niall O’Meara after walking onto the pitch to point out that injustice that had occurred. Incidentally O’Meara grabbed at the helmet of Breen, has that stopped being a red card?

Forde then squared up to him as he was walking off. Damien Barton ran to the endline to get involved in a melee and he got eight weeks.

Davy walked too far on to the pitch and got a reaction from the Tipp players, that’s his crime. If he stayed five yards closer to the line then there’s nothing to be made of it.

He broke the rules, the GAA applied the minimum sentence. You’re all for the rules being applied in other codes, why not the GAA?

Yeah but he didn’t.

The poisonous bollocks has been a disgrace on the sideline for decades. Eight weeks isn’t half enough for him.

This is a black and white issue mate, he is 100% guilty of the offence which carries the 8 week suspension.
I love Davy really but no excuses here.

The appropriate penalty for the infraction has been applied.

That is all. Nothing more to see here.

What happened in the critical 8 secs that TG4 were showing the replay? Davy must have knifed someone to deserve 8 weeks.

No dude I’m saying that he didn’t cause the infraction with the other player, Forde came after him.

Fair enough if Forde gets something similar but Davy did fuck all in reality.

They’ll likely try to appeal it on those grounds and have have it reduced to four week four roaring abuse, if point out that the official made a complete fuck up can be deemed abuse.

Looks like there wasn’t a player near him and he was starting his troll onto the field of play.

Obviously I had better things to be doing last Sunday than watch league hurling so only saw the incident this morning.

As a result of viewing it, my opinion of Davy hasn’t changed one bit. He is still an attention seeking gobshite.

As per the rule Forde should be in line for an eight week ban as well.

That’s also a complete joke as well. The penalties are crazy when you consider that Diarmuid Connolly gets away with punching players on the ground and then doesn’t serve a ban.

On both occasions when Tipp played walked up to Davy to tell him fuck off the field, he initiated contact when only verbals were taking place. He’d do well to take his punishment or it might be extended to 12 weeks.

And the Wexford hurler who then hit Forde?

Just looked at it there again. @croppy_boy is right in his ascertion But this ban is a combination of Davy stepping over the line for years and finally being pulled up on it.

FFS A load of soccerball types on here roaring and screaming about bans on GAA games. He did fuck all. The Tipp boys walked over to instigate the incidents.
