Jostling, The eight-week ban as per the rules is for a player taking on an official or vice versa.

Forde should appeal on the ground that the Armagh player, Forker was it?, didn’t get a ban as far as I remember when he shoved over the Donegal doctor.

I don’t know but that’s the rule. Are you asking me to justify the GAA’s rules?

i don’t believe the GAA does ‘number of games’ type bans. It’s normally period of time.

If so then the same punishment should apply to Forde. Dito if Jim Bob didn’t get sanctioned

I don’t believe the suspension for a bit of jostling between opposing players is eight weeks.

if is is and that’s applied then we’ll have to have 200-man squads in training for every county.

it’s for coming on the field and having “an altercation” with an opposing player.

The opposing player instigated the physical confrontation.

8 weeks seems an excessive minimum for a managers pitch incursion.

There wouldn’t be an underage club management team left in-situ if this was applied at all levels. Old boys up and down the sideline about 20 yards into the pitch following the game up and down. Davy was only reverting to his roots.

Niall O Meara confronted Fitzgerald. Fitzgerard had no issue with him and wasn’t paying him any heed prior to O’Meara deciding that it was up to him to deal with Fitzgeralds incursion.
