Davy Fitz- a thread for the non-believers

The lads are saying it’s ok for Davy to get emotional and get worked up, but players shouldn’t. So when Davy walks onto a field to try influence the ref they shouldn’t tell him to fuck off. None of them on here have ever told an opposing manager or coach to fuck off or shut up i’m sure. Tipp are to blame for all of this… the sneaks.

Whether he is or is not is what’s being discussed here

That would not be an honourable thing to do.

Theres no need to discuss it, it was the act of a tinker.

I presume that’s your opinion of Forde as well then?

Yeah but he is our tinker so lay the fuck off.
He only did that day what everyone in the stand behind him wanted to do. Yes before you say it that probably makes up all tinkers. Davy is a great guy at shifting the momentum from the sidelines. He will become embroiled with an official/ opposing manager to try and get a row started to try and create a break in play.

What do you expect? There are Fellas who are probably more accustomed to watching rugby or pony racing or some other non-sport that have hopped on the Davy Express

Did Forde run off the field and hit an unsuspecting non player?

At least you’ve the balls to say it and not fuck around the topic like the other fella.

Still, he ran off the field of play, and hit an unsuspecting man at pace, completely blindsiding him. I dont give a fuck if every man in the place wanted to rip Fitzgeralds head off, that was a disgusting act that could have inflicted serious damage. I’m all for a laugh, and alls well that ended well, but that was particularly nasty. What action did the GAA take btw?

What’s the difference between him leaving the field to strike Davy, and Davy entering the field and striking the two Tipp lads?

Look at again. He purposely confronted Davy and probably ran further then Jim Bob did just for that purpose. Same difference

I hope Wexford do the decent thing here by following the example that John Mullane set all those years ago of taking their medicine and moving on, for the good of the game.

Davy didnt instigate anything
Davy was berating the referee before he was engaged.
Davy didn’t blindside anyone.

There’s a lot of bullshit being spouted here and people do not seem familiar with the rules.

If you’re applying the rules strictly to Fitzgerald walking on to the pitch and shouting at the ref then it’s a four-week ban.

If you’re saying he started an altercation with an opposing player then it’s an eight-week ban.

If you’re saying Forde started an altercation with an opposing official then it’s an eight-week ban for him.

At this point in time other similar incidents count for nothing. Davy’s previous actions also can’t be taken into consideration as he hasn’t been suspended for them unless I’m very much mistaken (and I’ll hold my hand up if I am).

Other similar incidents will likely be taken into account in any possible appeal to suspensions arising from this incident.

Rule belows

No its not. You brought up this incident. Deal with it. Its not even remotely the same.

I didn’t “fuck around it” as you put it. I asked you a question.

He entered the field of play, which is the player’s domain … In doing so he instigated everything.

Bullshit

He didn’t instigate anything with the player. 29 other players went about their business, Forde could have done likewise. Thats why he will get a ban.

The limerick player there carried out a shamefully trampish act.

And it was answered, and you continue to fuck around. What ban did the Limerick player get
